At Glorious Schools Olosan, we believe education should take care of the overall and complete development of a child in his/her formative years, and in line with this philosophy, emphasis is put on academic excellence, skills acquisition, sports development, moral uprightness, good inter-personal relationship, Godly dispositions to all things, etc. These take care of the three main aspects of education which are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Meanwhile, these are to be considered as guides rather than limits.

Glorious Schools Olosan (GS) is dedicated to providing quality education, tailored towards the different national and international curricula for the academic excellence of all who pass through the school. The development of the life skills, which is important to the future of every child, is taken in high esteem. The school, in achieving this, embarks on vocational/skill acquisitions training every Friday, involving skills like creative hub(arts), fashion/garment making, catering, GSM/Computer repairs, music, etc. Each pupil of the school is allowed to select one out of the list of vocational training programmes to be enrolled for in a term.

The physical development of the body, through fitness and sports, is given due consideration in the school. The weekly sports time, coordinated by a seasoned coach is a serious part of the school’s activities.. Pupils get involved in sporting activities like cycling, table tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, athletics, handball, and various other indoor games. In addition, both internal and inter-school competitions are allowed for the students′ physical and social development.

Glorious Schools, also has a mentoring programme in place for students to partake from. Each member of staff has some pupils in his/her care to mentor, through regular guidance and counseling. This parenting aspect of the school has been yielding good results since the inception of the school. A specific time is allocated to this programme on the timetable of the school, which underscores its importance. Consequently, a termly report on every pupil which captures academic, parental, moral, spiritual and other aspects of life is produced for the purpose of effecting the desired developmental goals.

The programmes/activities of the school are always well-planned and carried out under strict supervision, within a serene environment. This disposition has endeared the school to many families, far and near, aiming for all-round development for their wards/children.

HISTORY OF GLORIOUS SCHOOLS
In the year 2005, Glorious Future Kiddies Schools was born with the vision of nurturing children for a glorious future and nation-building.
This vision grew and gave birth to the college arm in the year 2017. For both arms of the school, we have a unified and robust vision of becoming the preferred nurturing platform to raise children who are equipped with the love of God, empowered for nation-building, and effective and relevant twenty-first-century leaders.

Pondering on the unified vision, we came up with a Mission statement that will help steer us towards our destination. This is to deliver total Education through modeling the love of Christ, integrating hard work and morals; and having refined educators with robust curriculum and parental partnership to meet global demands.

THE MAKEUP OF THE SCHOOL
Glorious Schools Olosan, is a co-educational, day and boarding institution, made up of primary and secondary arms. Each arm is headed by seasoned administrators with a team of professional staff, having requisite qualifications in different fields/experiences.

The primary section, has the crèche, playgroup, preparatory, nursery, and primary classes, while the secondary arm has the Junior and Senior classes where various subjects as approved by relevant government institutions, are taught. In addition, the school has been approved by all relevant examination bodies to conduct external examinations which include the National Association of Proprietors and Proprietress of Schools(NAPPS), Oyo State Government, Federal Government, National Examination Council (NECO), West African Examination Council (WAEC), and more. It is noteworthy that at all of these examinations where our students have participated, the school has recorded very excellent results that meet the aspirations of her founding fathers.

The pupils and the staff are encouraged to participate actively in decision-making processes at the school and are duly encouraged to contribute to the formation of the school policy through appropriate calendared meetings in various committees. The belief mindset of combined corporate efforts from both the academic and non-academic staff has been the strength behind the great success recorded at the school till date.

Discipline is viewed more as a corrective measure rather than punitive one and is also a corporate task of both the pupil, parent and staff. Meanwhile, the setting and maintenance of acceptable standards are the responsibility of all pupils and their parents, creating a tradition that becomes a part of the whole school system. All disciplinary issues involving reprimands, criticisms and corrections are handled by the disciplinary council of the school with recommendations passed to the management board of the school for adequate decision making.
